Latcho Drom

After the death of their father, Sonnyboy, the eldest of three Romani brothers, struggles to hold their family and livelihood together. The family’s situation worsens when their father’s cherished horse dies, further symbolising the end of an era. Sonnyboy is desperate to preserve the life they’ve always known, but when Buddy, the youngest brother, excels academically and gains opportunities outside the family business, Sonnyboy spirals into denial, fearing further loss. Ultimately, Sonnyboy confronts his grief, realising he cannot prevent change, and learns to accept both the loss of their father and Buddy’s path forward.
