The programme of the 8th International Festival of Romani Film AKE DIKHEA? will be crowned with an official award ceremony on 26 October: a total of 23 films from Albania, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, the USA, Croatia, Italy, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Scotland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden and Spain will compete for the title of Best Film or Best Short Film of the festival. The decision will be made and presented by a four-member international festival jury: Zeynep Güzel (GE), Alica Sigmund Heráková (CZ), Kristóf Horváth (HU), Vicente Rodríguez Fernández (SP). For the first time, a youth jury will also award a Youth Film Prize and the audience will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite film after each screening -the Audience Award will go to the film with the best average rating!
We will celebrate all the films and their makers with plenty of champagne and orange juice, a little glamour and lots of dancing -because with their art, they contribute to the much-needed diversity of voices and stories in the film world. Uroš Petković aka DJ UCE will provide a great atmosphere at the final party: the Serbian producer and composer has become an important part of the Balkan and e-swing music scene thanks to his projects such as ShazaLaKazoo and Jazzotron.

This year's patron, Minister of Culture Claudia Roth, will open the festival with a video message. This is followed by greetings from the Artistic Director Hamze Bytyçi, Co-Curator Lisa Smith and as well as the director of the European Film Academy (EFA) Matthijs Wouter Knol.
After the screening, the film director Ádám Császi and the main protagonist Kristóf Horváth will be available for a talk with the audience.
Afterwards, we cordially invite the participating festival guests to exchange ideas, eat, drink and celebrate: because the evening will continue in the Grüner Salon with a Meet & Greet with the European Film Academy and an opening party with reception!
