The story begins hundreds of years ago in Rajasthan, India, where the Sinti Gypsies originally came from, and traces their history in broad strokes—through the horrors of World War II and the murder of nearly one million Sinti and Roma in Europe—to the present. The five protagonists show, each in their own way, their resilience and identity as Sinti, but also how they contribute to building a world without antisemitism, discrimination, and racism.
