Twenty five years after leaving, queer Romani artist Béla Váradi returns from London to his rural Hungarian hometown to stage a public exhibition, risking rejection while navigating the fragile line between the home he left, where the public display of LGBTQI+ content is banned, and the home he longs for. In spite of deep self-doubt and external resistance, he organises an exhibition of his work, an act akin to an intervention in a country where Béla's identity is subject to state repression.
