Three generations of a Sinti family speak about their experiences with racism and their family’s history. The film recounts the often-overlooked persecution of Roma and Sinti people during the Nazi era, the exclusion and racism of the post-war period, and the persistence of these issues today —while also highlighting resistance, courage, and solidarity. Ella Braun, born Blum, is a contemporary witness and civil rights activist. The film also features her daughter Vanessa. In Mannheim also Ella's grandson Daniel begins to speak about his life today as a Sinto.
