This short documentary dance film explores Istanbul’s recent urban memory through a triple 9/8 musical meter. Inspired by the dance and boxing of German Sinto boxing legend Johann Rukeli Trollmann (1907–1944), three dancers combine the power of dance with their fight for justice in Sulukule and Fikirtepe, Istanbul’s Roma neighbourhoods.
